Congrats are in order for Oliver Atalla from our Finance Department and the Brand Education Team who collaborated for the first time on a hands-on mixology-themed Tasteful Thursdays experience. With 30 Moët Hennessy employees from a variety of departments in attendance, Oliver reviewed Bar Tool Basics, How to Build a Cocktail and walked the audience through how to craft their very own cocktails from recipes that he devised using Ardbeg 10 Year Old and Volcan de mi Tierra Blanco. For many of our attendees, this was the first time they'd used a muddler or double-filtered a cocktail!
Oliver has over 14 years of craft mixology experience and has been leading his own cocktail classes for 2 years.
Below are his bespoke cocktail creations for the class that we encourage you to try at home!
Cocktail #1:
The Smokey Mule
1.5 oz Ardbeg 10 Year Old
.25 oz Fiery Ginger Syrup
.25 oz Simple Syrup
.75 oz fresh Lemon Juice
Shake with ice and double strain in fresh ice.
Topwith Club Soda.
Garnish with Lemon Twist or Ginger Chips
Cocktail #2:
Maman's Way
2oz Volcan de mi Tierra Blanco
MuddledYellow Watermelon and sliced Cucumber
Jalapeno(Optional)
.75oz Lemon Juice
.75oz Agave Juice
Shaken. Strained and double filtered.
Garnish with Mint leaves and Cucumber slice.
